The Women's Premier League (WPL) Governing Council has allowed franchises to re-sign up to five players from their existing squads through direct retention or Right to Match (RTM) options.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that each franchise will have a budget of Rs 15 crore to rebuild their team for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026.
The All WPL franchises have a deadline of 5 November to complete their player retention, and the WPL Mega Auction is scheduled between 26 and 29 November 2025.
The retained players will be evaluated under the following price slabs:
Retention 1 - INR 3.50 crore
Retention 2 - INR 2.50 crore
Retention 3 - INR 1.75 crore
Retention 4 - INR 1 crore
Retention 5 - INR 50 lakh
