The Celebrity Cricket League team Chennai Rhinos announced new name as VELS Chennai Kings for CCL 2026.
Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh, Founder-Chancellor of VELS University and Chairman of the VELS Group, and Mrs. Sri Priya Rajkumar have jointly purchased the Chennai franchise of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), and the Chennai franchise team has been officially named "VELS Chennai Kings." Its previous name was Chennai Rhinos.
The VELS Chennai Kings team will be seen in yellow jerseys this year.
