Afghanistan leg spinner cricketer Rashid Khan has withdrawn his name from Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. Rashid Khan had back surgery in November 2023 and has not played cricket since. He is now fully fit but is maintaining distance from the field for precautionary reasons.
Rashid has been with PSL team Lahore Qalandars for the last three seasons and had also won the title in 2022 and 2023. The franchise also retained him in the 'silver salary bracket' for this season, even though they knew that he might not be available this season.
Now that Rashid has officially withdrawn his name from PSL 2024, Qalandars can replace him with another player in their squad. Meanwhile, Rashid has also withdrawn his name from BBL 2023-24 and SA20 2024.
