The franchise cannot have more than five capped (Indian and foreign) and two uncapped (Indian) players. The Governing Council has announced the rules on Saturday.
In retention, if a player makes his international debut before October 31, he will be considered capped, but if a retained uncapped player makes his international debut even a day before the auction, he will be considered uncapped. The big purse has also been increased by 20 crores, now every franchise will have 120 crores to spend.
