On Friday, May 10, 2025 - The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to postpone the remaining matches of Tata IPL 2025 for a week with immediate effect.
Further information on the new schedule and venues of the tournament will be communicated in due course after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with the relevant authorities and stakeholders.
Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad have been shortlisted to host the remaining 16 matches of IPL 2025 when the tournament resumes in May after the IPL 2025 postponement on Friday, according to news sources.
Sources have revealed that the IPL has shortlisted three southern Indian cities as part of a tentative plan in case it gets approval from the Indian government to resume the tournament.
