Former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan has been appointed as the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Earlier, Zaheer was the cricket director of Mumbai Indians (MI) from 2018 to 2022.
Zaheer Khan played for MI, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) as a player, where he took 102 IPL wickets in 100 matches at an economy of 7.58.
The LSG team also needs a bowling coach right now, as their bowling coach Morne Morkel has now become the bowling coach of the Indian cricket team. And has left LSG. However, it is not clear whether Zaheer will become the bowling coach in addition to the mentor.
The team currently has Justin Langer as the head coach and two assistant coaches in the form of Lance Klusener and Adam Voges.
