Pakistan's qualification completes the Super Eight line-up. India and Pakistan qualified from Group A, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from Group B, West Indies and England from Group C, and South Africa and New Zealand from Group D.

In the Super Eight, teams will be divided into two groups of four. Group 1 will consist of India, Zimbabwe, West Indies, and South Africa. Group 2 will consist of England, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Each team will play every other team in its group once. Teams will start with zero points. Any net run rate from the first round will not be carried forward.
