According to the Invitation for Expression of Interest (IEOI) for sponsorship rights from the Asian Cricket Council (ACI), Bangladesh has been confirmed as the host for the 2027 edition of the Asia Cup in ODI format.
So far 16 editions of the Asia Cup tournament have been played. But, Bangladesh has not won any title yet, while it has been runner-up thrice (2012, 2016, 2018).
The 2027 edition will be a ODI tournament event, serving as precursors to the respective format's World Cups
The 2027 Asia Cup ODI format will be held in Bangladesh as the 50-over World Cup is scheduled in South Africa in the same year.
