The LPL 2024 auction was held on 21 May 2024 at Shangri-La Colombo., where five franchises were allowed to spend a maximum of US$500,000 each.
After the auction the teams have the following players: B-Love Kandy – 22 Players, Jaffna Kings – 24 Players, Dambulla Thunders – 24 Players, Colombo Strikers – 20 Players, and Galle Marvels – 24 Players.
The auction saw the highest bid in LPL history when Mathisha Pathirana was bought by Colombo Strikers for ₹1 crore ($120,000).
